... to the cyber world of Little Num Num Music! We are a small, but perfectly formed record label, music PR and management company based in the city of York, in the North of England.

Born out of the fantastic acoustic/roots scene that has emerged in and around York over the last few years, Little Num Num Music create, release and promote records and also the artists who make them. Our main passion lies in that whole acoustic/blues/folk/roots type of thing - which is also the sort of stuff you get to see and hear at The Little Num Num Club (see below!).

Anyhow, as well as making records we also handle many other aspects of our artist's careers. If we wore suits here in the Num Num office, had matching Blackberries, and thought of ourselves as 'business' types, we would refer to what we do as a '360 degree music industry model'. But we don't, and we aren't, so we won't! What we do instead is work closely with our artists handling much of their bookings, Press, PR, Publishing and Management, as well as working with our own team of producers, engineers, graphic artists and photographers. This means we can keep our dysfunctional musical family nice and cosy, plus it keeps us off the streets and out of trouble...

We also do a fair bit of graphic design and promotion for other clients, and when we get chance we run the World famous 'Little Num Num Club' in York once every other month or so...

The Little Num Num Club is a live acoustic music night started in York back in 2005 by local musician and former frontman with The Seahorses, Chris Helme. Chris was joined shortly afterwards by fellow musician and partner in crime Andy Gaines. Over the next few years the club established itself as the night in the region to see the best acoustic acts that were touring the Uk, as well as showcasing some of the brilliant songwriters that had been emerging around the local area. The club quickly became a central feature in an expanding and incredibly talented melting pot of local acoustic, roots and folk type artists and bands.

The success of the club nights, along with emergance of Chris' increasingly busy and successful solo career lead Team Num Num to expand their operation. Before too long they were promoting more events, running the promotional side of the operation, booking shows, and designing artwork and press campaigns. By 2008 Chris was now touring his solo music almost full time and he and Andy independently released Chris' debut album: Ashes at the end of that year.

After a year of touring and promoting 'Ashes' Chris returned to a thriving acoustic scene that was now brimming with talent. Little Num Num Music was formed at the end of 2009 and quickly set about working with local acts Mark Wynn and Boss Caine. As of April 2010 we have released debut albums from both these acts, as well as other things, and there will be plenty more where that came from...
